25th June we have ‘Music for Hero’s’ set within the Blackpool Winter Gardens musical extravaganza will be in Blackpool’s famous Empress Ballroom.
FREE TICKETS however there is a £1.00 booking fee per ticket, available from Blackpool Winter Gardens and the VisitBlackpool Tourist Information Centre.

The best nights in the resort’s calendar, the event will take place on Friday 31st August and will feature a host of top music and live entertainments well as the big moment when the Blackpool Illuminations are turned on for the first time.
20,000 lucky people will be given free wristbands to enter the Switch-On night, the event will be held on the Tower Festival Headland and attracts visitors from all over the UK as well as locals who will have a dedicated allocation of tickets just for them.

The Blackpool promenade was the first to use electricity to attract tourists in the world. The original attraction was known as ‘Artificial Sunshine’ and has been a spectacular feature of the resort town since 1879, the greatest free light show on earth!

The best night in Blackpool’s events calendar, in association with MTV, featuring headline performances by Example and DJ Wire, Conor Maynard, Diversity and Louisa Johnson. Tower Festival Headland Arena on Friday 1 September, also sees the return of Club MTV DJs R3wire and Varski.
Blackpool’s heritage trams ride the Illuminations
For Illuminations season, book a ride on of the historic, fantastic heritage trams operated by Blackpool Transport. Take the opportunity to get the feel of the art deco era of the 1930s. Coastal Communities Fund made this investment in 2015 to create the LightPool at Blackpool Illuminations – a wonderful and electrifying new attraction.LightPool transforms The Blackpool Tower into a sea of light, colour and sound, a digitally-mapped multi-media show is projected on to this iconic building. View from the Comedy Carpet – the area of the Promenade in front of The Tower. A completely FREE tourist experience throughout the illuminations period!
The world’s leading aerial aerobatic display teams, the Red Arrows will perform between the Central and North Piers om the Blackpool Promenade.
Confirmed for both days for this year’s show are the RAF Typhoon display team and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight featuring the Spitfire, Hurricane and a Lancaster Bomber. There’s been an airshow in Blackpool for more than 100 years and it’s one of the longest running ones in the world. The initial major airshow was held at Blackpool Airport in 1909 with over 2000 spectators witnessing the most primitive planes take to the skies.
