Say thank you to our heroes. From June 25 – 1st July the Blackpool comes together welcoming serving military personnel, veterans and cadets. Thousands will flock to the resort, book your Gurkha Hotel room/s now!
25th June we have ‘Music for Hero’s’ set within the Blackpool Winter Gardens musical extravaganza will be in Blackpool’s famous Empress Ballroom.
FREE TICKETS however there is a £1.00 booking fee per ticket, available from Blackpool Winter Gardens and the VisitBlackpool Tourist Information Centre.
A free concert, now in its 10th year, established as one of the highlights of the Armed Forces Week Blackpool. The evening will see a night of music, comedy and live performance with a full program of entertainment.27th June: Military themed Afternoon tea Dance in the Blackpool Tower Ballroom

1st July at the Blackpool Cenotaph on the promanade will be the Sunday Morning Service and Parade

TOP LOADER headline the opening evening and are supported by tribute band the STEREOTONICS. On Saturday, four top class tribute bands in the form of GREEN DATE, ANTARCTIC MONKEYS, THE HOT RED CHILLI PEPPERS and OASISH take the stage in a US versus UK themed rock encounter.

The best nights in the resort’s calendar, the event will take place on Friday 31st August and will feature a host of top music and live entertainments well as the big moment when the Blackpool Illuminations are turned on for the first time.
20,000 lucky people will be given free wristbands to enter the Switch-On night, the event will be held on the Tower Festival Headland and attracts visitors from all over the UK as well as locals who will have a dedicated allocation of tickets just for them.

World Fireworks Championship Blackpool 2017
Don’t miss the spectacular FREE event on the Blackpool calendar, this year from the 8th – 29th September.
The world’s firework elite will compete with a series of shows that will amaze and entertain the whole family. Why not take an extended weekend break at the Gurkha Hotel to take advantage of this opportunity.

The displays at Blackpool World Fireworks Championships 2017will be fantastic, the best fireworks companies and engineers in the world. They’re synchronised to music for a fantastic show!
The Beach House Bar & Bistro are sponsoring the judges HQ and proprietor Cheryl Tchobanian is one of the judges. Cllr Gillian Campbell, Deputy Leader of Blackpool Council and Peter Sedgwick, owner of Blackpool’s three piers, make up the judges team.
The event starts from 7.30pm, with the first fireworks firing from approximately 8.30pm.All displays subject to suitable weather conditions.
