The world’s leading aerial aerobatic display teams, the Red Arrows will perform between the Central and North Piers om the Blackpool Promenade.
Confirmed for both days for this year’s show are the RAF Typhoon display team and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight featuring the Spitfire, Hurricane and a Lancaster Bomber. There’s been an airshow in Blackpool for more than 100 years and it’s one of the longest running ones in the world. The initial major airshow was held at Blackpool Airport in 1909 with over 2000 spectators witnessing the most primitive planes take to the skies.
